Weekend Writing Warriors #39

Hi and welcome to this week's eight sentences! This week I am continuing with my spookily erotic story 'Patrick's Pendant' from Yellow Silk Dreams anthology 'Enchanted'. I have carried straight on from last week.

My Eight:

Suddenly her lacy skater dress and bare legs seemed impractical.
Would he even notice that she’d left?
How would she get home?
She was angry now, too angry to cry any more, cold and angry and just a tiny bit inebriated.
“Katie?” it was Miranda’s voice, “Are you out here?”

Katie stared blankly towards the little path. She could see the vague silhouette of her best friend emerging slowly into the clearing hugging her arms around herself in a vain attempt to keep warm.
**********

Aw, I couldn't leave her out there alone with those empty, swaying swings!

Thank you for stopping by and for your lovely comments last week! Please leave one today as I really appreciate it. To visit the other authors taking part this week please click on the link below:

  9. You described that scene perfectly with her scant outfit, her friend hugging herself. Burr...I hat the cold. I felt that.

  10. I feel so sorry for Katie. But I'm so glad that Miranda is going to keep her company. I remember nights like that - angry at someone and realizing only after you've stormed out how cold it is, the chill nipping at your legs. You captured that very well. Great eight!

  15. Not the person she wanted to notice her leaving--whoever 'he' is. But perhaps her friend will do. Neither of them are practically dressed--time to go back inside, or go home!
