Weekend Writing Warriors #99

Hi and welcome to this week's eight sentences.
I am going to continue from last week with 'Dancing for the Boys' enjoy!:
   MY EIGHT

“He only drinks the best brandy and I know he gets picked up by a chauffeur after your show. Saw it once when I was collecting glasses, fancy.”

Tanya sighed; fancy or not he had left. Probably had a wife at home and just nipped out for a bit of excitement. She finished her drink quickly, shuddering at the bitter taste at the bottom of her lemon and lime, Tony must have told him what she drank. Tanya preferred to keep a clear head with so many hyped up men around the place.
The sound of applause coupled with hoots and wolf whistles came from the next room where Letitia was just finishing her performance.
“Shall I call you a cab Tanya?” Tony offered.

Who doesn’t love to dance? Who doesn’t love to tease the men watching, willing them to notice and lust after your body? What would you do if you were given the chance to perform before a group of appreciative gentlemen for a large amount of money? The latest release from the pen of Gemma Parkes combines two stories of exotic dancing and what it means to two women when they truly perform.

  1. Okay, I love this already! You do such a great job setting the scene. It's so easy to imagine. Awesome cover too! Can't wait to learn more about this fancy man with his fancy chauffeur. ;)

  2. Love the way 'fancy' is used, you can really hear it being said. I get the feeling Mr. Fancy will be back...
