Weekend Writing Warriors 88

Hi and welcome to this week's Eight sentences. Today I am continuing with eight from my new release, 'Fevered Kisses' an anthology of lust. This week I am continuing from last week and fifth story 'Some Time Away'.
                                   MY EIGHT:

Melanie headed towards the departure kiosk where she booked a flight for Portugal and took a seat in the bar to wait.

Within two hours she was boarding the plane and they were taking off.

Only then did she begin to seriously think about the enormity of what she had done. What about work? What about Robert? She looked anxiously out of the window at the rapidly diminishing tarmac; there was nothing she could do now. She was heading for Portugal. Portugal!

  1. This is the "uh oh" cold feet moment. But it's too late now!

  2. Portugal sounds like fun. Work and Robert can wait--or if they can't, they probably weren't that important, anyway.

  3. You can feel the impulsiveness....great snippet

  4. Yeah, what Cara said. That uh oh moment. Doesn't it make you feel alive to do something like that, though? :-) And you've written that feeling well. Nicely, Gemma!
