Weekend Writing Warriors #121

 

 Hi and welcome to this week's eight sentences. 
I'm continuing with the next eight from 'Dancing for the Boys' enjoy!:                                           
   MY EIGHT

Slowly Tanya pulled herself up to her feet and bowed low to the grinning men.

Somebody ushered the guests from the room but James remained. He walked slowly towards her, dampness on his upper lip.

“You were amazing.” he breathed.

Tanya smiled but her eyes revealed her hunger. This time James noticed. He sighed, glancing towards the door regretfully.

“I need to go,” he said, “But I would like you to stay, can you do that?”

Tanya nodded, she was still trembling from the power of her performance, her heart beat wildly and her body pulsed excitement.

    Love it! Your such a visual writer! Great snippet. I just want to strangle James and make him take that next step already!
    My only suggestion would be to check point of view. Going by the last paragraph I think we're in Tanya's pov, but you describe her eyes revealing her hunger, which she can't see herself. She can see James' response, but not her own eyes. Just a thought:).
