Weekend Writing Warriors #108

Hi and welcome to this week's eight sentences.
I'm continuing with the next eight from 'Dancing for the Boys' enjoy!:
   MY EIGHT

Tanya longed to go somewhere private with James and she nodded meekly. Her head told her to concentrate, it was never a good idea to go anywhere with someone you’ve only just met, particularly if they’ve seen you almost naked. But James wasn’t just anybody. He took her hand to help her down from the stool and led her to the front door where his car was waiting.
“Just drive around please Robert.” James spoke to his chauffeur after ushering Tanya into the back seat. Then he climbed in beside her and spoke gently as the car joined the traffic.
“I would like you to dance for me.” he said searching her eyes to gauge her response.

Who doesn’t love to dance? Who doesn’t love to tease the men watching, willing them to notice and lust after your body? What would you do if you were given the chance to perform before a group of appreciative gentlemen for a large amount of money? The latest release from the pen of Gemma Parkes combines two stories of exotic dancing and what it means to two women when they truly perform.

  1. At this point, I'm nervous for her. "But James wasn't just anybody." <-- That's an intriguing line. :-)

I hope you're having a good holiday weekend, Gemma!
