Weekend Writing Warriors #47

Hi Everyone and welcome to this week's eight sentences! 'Christmas Delights' is an anthology of erotic stories with a Christmas theme. This week I am sharing from 'A Christmas Tale' a story about a young couple experiencing London shopping on Christmas Eve.

My Eight

I laughed out loud as Mark clowned around in the toy sections of huge department stores, his infectious laughter instilling in me some of the Christmas spirit l started out with this morning. Watching Mark purchase a large pink teddy bear for his niece made me feel warm inside. The rush of love l felt for him caught in my throat.

We stepped back out into the rain linking arms and grinning upwards at the sky, hoping the rain would turn to sleet and then huge flakes of snow. It was 4pm. Some of the stores were already closing their doors for the Christmas break. We crossed the road and sheltered in a small cafe. Over our hot chocolates we planned our next move.

  5. Mmm, I love hot chocolate! I haven't had it in ages. I can just imagine the two of them warming their hands on the mugs, plotting their next steps, eager to enjoy the chill in the air once they've regained feeling in their fingers. Great imagery and wonderful eight!

  12. Yep--"sweet" is the first word that came to my mind. They are like a couple of lovestruck kids turned loose to run. :-) Nicely done!
