Hi and welcome to this week's Eight sentences. Today I am continuing with eight from my new release, 'Fevered Kisses' an anthology of lust. This week I am continuing with the second story 'Too Darn Hot' carrying on from where we left off last week:
MY EIGHT:
Miranda told him
of the pool with its beautiful azure flooring and the pretty chairs decorating
the edge.
“Sounds
perfect,” Jamie said when she’d finished, “Wish l had a pool to go home too.”
Miranda eyed him
carefully. Jamie was a former pupil and still danced the quarterly supadances
whenever they were local.
“Why don’t you
come round?” she asked casually, “You’re free to use the pool if you like.”
“Seriously
Miranda? You don’t mind?” said Jamie grinning broadly flashing those teeth.

He appears to have talked his way into the pool area...wondering how much deeper he'll get. ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks Gem :)
DeleteGood snippet and I agree with Gem and deeper he'll get in her pool. 'those' teeth? Consider 'flashed a bright smile.' or if you're really into teeth, 'a toothy smile.'
ReplyDeleteHi Charmaine thanks for commenting. The line is 'those teeth' because I'd mentioned them and how bright they were just a few lines before! Sometimes it's hard to get the context when only 8 sentences are shown. Thanks for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteEnjoyed the snippet. Sound like he's a smooth talker... Can't wait for more.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen, he certainly is (and quite a looker too!)
DeleteOh! Intriguing setup, Gemma. I've missed your writing. :)

DeleteOne of her pupils? Uh oh.
ReplyDeleteNaughty, rich, bored lady! Thanks for commenting Millie!
DeleteThe pool sounds lovely. Hmm, the use of the word 'casually' makes me wonder if it's her that's making plans, not him.
ReplyDeleteWell spotted Caitlin! Thanks for commenting!
DeleteHere's to you Mrs. Robinson...lol. You must like water. I see other water images on your book covers.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, never noticed before, but I am a real water baby! Thanks for commenting Cara!
DeleteNaughty teacher. LOL.
