Weekend Writing Warriors #62

Hi And welcome to this week's eight sentences. I am moving on with 'Pleasing Mia' this scene is just after a passionate encounter in Scott's apartment:

                                                                               MY EIGHT:

For a while they just lay together, Scott didn’t want to break the spell. He breathed in her hair; the familiar soft scent of coconuts warmed his heart. He lightly stroked her arm which was lying across him. He knew that he had not known her for very long but he also knew what love felt like. This was love. He was sure of it, the effect Mia had on his every waking moment was so much more than lust. His body ached for her, that was true but his mind was appeased with mere thoughts of her blue eyes, soft skin, crazy hair and warm, responsive body.

Even more than that Mia’s quiet vulnerability warmed and intrigued him, he had to know her, he needed her here in his arms and in his life.

Synopsis:

On a weekend visit to a local nightclub, Scott, a quiet, good looking man, sets his eyes on a beautiful girl dancing with complete abandonment on the dance floor. Everybody is watching her, though she seems oblivious to any attention she is receiving. The girl (Mia) is simply lost in the music.
When eventually circumstances lead her to succumb to his quiet charm Scott discovers Mia’s wild sexual nature is not restricted to the dance floor. As he struggles to keep up with her sexual prowess and ever changing moods Scott discovers a side of himself that he had not deemed possible. Pleasing Mia is by no means an easy accomplishment. Will Scott succeed?

  2. Sentimental man after making love. Very romantic. Watch out for beginning every sentence with He. Shift words around to make it more interesting.

  3. I just always worry about Scott because he seems to know so little about Mia really. Which says your writing has gotten me all tangled up in the story LOL. Great snippet!

  8. Yep, sounds like he's a goner to me.

He's so sure, though, which isn't always a good sign. Sometimes we think we know how we feel... and we turn out to be wrong.

  9. Scott comes through! :-) Lovely job of writing a sweet moment of reflection, Gemma. I worry for Scott. We haven't had quite the glimpse of Mia that we've had of him. I hope she can be as devoted as he is. :-)
