Weekend Writing Warriors #101

Hi and welcome to this week's eight sentences.
I'm sharing eight from 'Dancing for the Boys' enjoy!:
   MY EIGHT

Tanya had her hair done by Joey Davis. Joey had been her hair dresser since she had first started dancing. He knew just how to create the right look, wild but set firmly in place, able to withstand the many twists and turns of her daring routine. Joey teased every brown curl to perfection and Tanya’s confidence soared even higher as she headed home. Packing the neon outfit in her dance bag along with black ankle boots with steel spiked heels Tanya set off for the club. Normally she sat in her room warming up and reading a little before her turn, watching the other dancers in all their glory had a negative effect on Tanya. But tonight she headed down to sit with Tony in her black skater dress hoping that a mindless chat would settle her nerves.

“Your man’s in.” said Tony handing her a lemon and lime. Tanya’s heart quickened.

Who doesn’t love to dance? Who doesn’t love to tease the men watching, willing them to notice and lust after your body? What would you do if you were given the chance to perform before a group of appreciative gentlemen for a large amount of money? The latest release from the pen of Gemma Parkes combines two stories of exotic dancing and what it means to two women when they truly perform.
