Six Sentence Sunday #41

Hello and welcome to another six sentences. I am following on from last week and my contribution to Yellow Silk dreams anthology 'Behind stone walls' my story is 'Scarlet':

...She felt light headed and so much in love with the man. Gradually the scene began to fade and there was music, laughter and emptiness in her heart…
The harsh sound of a trumpet startled her. For a moment she wasn’t sure where she was. One of her new companions rested his hand lightly upon her knee and Katy wondered why he was sitting so close to her. Turning her head to look behind she caught sight of Ellie who pulled a disapproving face.
