Six Sentence Sunday #34

Hello and welcome to this weeks Six Sentence Sunday.
Last week l touched on a story l am writing for an anthology with a Castle theme for Yellow Silk Dreams. I think l confused everyone with my random snippet! This week l'll start right at the very beginning, enjoy!:

Katy looked at the three ball gowns set out on the pristine four poster bed in front of her. She loved these medieval events held annually within the grand old rooms of Foxwood castle. It was an excuse to dress up in clothes belonging to another era and this evening’s choice was proving a difficult one.
Most of the guests including Katy had arrived late last night. In traditional style they had drunk champagne in the grand library and toasted each others health whilst listening to dark tales of debauchery and strange goings on within the castle grounds. These tales were often invented, but not always.

I would love you to leave me a message if you can, just tell me what you think of it so far!
